Family Caregiver FAQ — Helping You Help Your Loved Ones

1. Can I book Hymie’s Hauling on behalf of my parent or loved one?
Yes, you absolutely can. We regularly work with adult children, family caregivers, estate executors, and caseworkers to arrange services. We are happy to coordinate directly with you or your loved one, whichever you prefer.

2. My parent is a senior — do you offer any discounts?
Yes. We offer a 25% senior discount on all services. We believe in supporting seniors and making the process as affordable as possible during life transitions such as downsizing or moving.

3. Will your crew be patient and respectful with my loved one?
Yes. Our team is trained to work with seniors and individuals who may require a little extra time or sensitivity. We do not rush, we explain the process clearly, and we always treat clients with kindness and respect.

4. Do you provide donation-based hauling?
Yes. When possible, we donate usable items to local charities and community organizations. Many families appreciate knowing their loved one’s belongings can benefit others.

5. Can you work around my schedule if I am assisting in person?
Yes. We will do our best to book a time that works for both you and your loved one. We understand that coordinating schedules can be challenging, and we are flexible whenever possible.

6. What if the property is in a rural area?
No problem. We serve Winnipeg, the Interlake, and many surrounding rural communities. Even if the property is outside our core area, give us a call — we often accommodate.

7. Will you handle heavy and hard-to-reach items?
Yes. We handle the heavy lifting, tight spaces, basement cleanouts, and garage or shed removals. You and your loved one won’t need to lift a thing.

8. Are you fully insured?
Yes. Hymie’s Hauling is fully insured for your protection and peace of mind. You can trust that you are working with a legitimate and professional business.

9. How do I pay if I am handling it for my parent?
We accept cash, e-transfer, or credit card. Payment can be handled directly by you or your loved one, whichever is easiest for your family.

10. My loved one is nervous about this — can you help ease their concerns?
Yes. Many seniors feel overwhelmed by the idea of cleanouts or junk removal. We are happy to meet in person, answer all questions, and work at their pace. We believe patience and understanding are just as important as the heavy lifting.
